Wasps

Wasp Disinfestation Services

The wasp as an insect has minimal hair and intense black-yellow color. It is about 10-20 mm in size, and has three pairs of legs. They are more armored than bees, and hunt many insects. The wasp, unlike the bee, survives after a sting.
Its life cycle lasts 6 weeks, with the stages egg – larva – nymph – adult insect. The life of wasps lasts one year.
They live in small groups of insects forming nests that look like hexagons. They are built in random places, even completely vertical. They are not necessarily aggressive insects, but because they come into contact with humans more often than humans with bees, they are also more common. There are two main categories in which different types of wasps fall: solitary wasps and social wasps.

Information

Adult solitary wasps generally live and work on their own, and most do not build nests. In contrast, social wasps exist in the colonies numbering in the thousands, are strong, build a nest, and in some cases not the entire colony is capable of reproduction. In general, the queen and the male wasps can mate, while the majority of the colonies are made up of sterile female workers.
The habits of solitary wasps are different from those of social wasps. Others build their nests on the sides of the walls, while others build on tree branches and burrows, made of soil and gravel, which prevent predators from entering and the nest from being damaged by natural elements. Most solitary wasps do not build nests at all and prefer natural shelter.

Wasps feed on nectar from various flowers and are important pollinators in gardens and orchards. However, they also act as a parasite. When they gather wood materials to build the nest, they can chew, destroy, and remove the bark of the trees causing the branches and young shoots to wither.
